Legacy 2 Series 75 Hour Heirloom Hardwood Geared Clock
The Legacy 2 pendulum wall clock has weight driven reserve power to run up to 75 hours on each wind cycle. Offering a wooden-geared mechanical movement in large-scale, it features escape wheel and going wheels up to 6” in diameter.
Measuring ~64" H x 10"W x 8'D with a combined total of clockwork and drive weight of about 13lb. The Legacy 2 design emphasizes both the natural beauty of the hardwoods with a focus on the mechanical movement of the precise clockwork.
We craft our clockworks using hand selected premium hardwood with a hard-wax oil finish and a bee’s wax hand rubbed polish. The Legacy 2 clocks are offered in several hardwood varieties. Including Black Walnut, Hard Maple and Black Cherry. Featuring all brass arbors and fittings. Including brass pulley, cabling, weight shell and accents. They are crafted as a lasting heirloom. The clockworks feature double shielded deep groove ball bearings and steel pivots on all arbors, providing a long service life, easy maintenance and trouble-free operation.
There are Brass sleeved bushings to support the pass-through arbors of the minute wheel and pallets. Bronze bushings are used for the great wheel holding the weight. The steel pivots, double shielded deep groove ball bearings, brass and bronze bushings along with all brass arbors ensure countless decades of runtime with proper maintenance and care.
At completion each clockwork is discreetly engraved with our Legacy Wooden Works shop mark, series, edition number, and movement sequence. In addition to the date on the back of the rear frame. A certificate is also included with this information. As part of the certificate additional reference test data is provided, including results of a continuous measurement of the overall beats accuracy and timing stability for a full wind cycle of the clockwork. The extensive testing,
calibration and quality control ensure a long-lasting clockwork for years of reliable and trouble-free performance.
